Workshop in Vienna

Servus Vienna!

On Friday, the second-year students of the Executive Master in EU Studies spent the weekend in Vienna. First up was visit to the Austrian Chancellery, followed by a talk on EU Enlargement & Neighbourhood Policy by Florent Marciacq. Later, the students presented their projects elaborated during the summer to Gyöngyvér Gyene for the course Strategic Planning, Implementation and Evaluation of Development Programmes in the EU and Emre Gür for the course Project Cycle Management and Logical Framework Approach.

On Saturday and Sunday, our political science experts Wolfgang Wessels and Thomas Traguth further deepened the major theories of EU integration and explained the complexity and differentiation in the EU, among other topics.

Our economics experts Veronika Czina and Tamás Szigetvári taught the dynamic impacts of deepening and the extension of the market by enlargements. EU Law experts Ralf Kanitz and Nikolaus Scheffel worked with the students on legal methodology and case studies.

Sessions on the moot court of the European Court of Justice as well as interdisciplinary world café on European security and defence, complemented the weekend programme.
