Prof. Bafoil Political Economy Energy Transition

François Bafoil teaches the course Political Economy of Energy Transitions in the first study year of the Executive Master in EU Studies.

He taught the course "Geopolitics and Energy" in Nice and Berlin in the Master in Global Energy Transition and Governance he was director (2016-2023).

He is CNRS Senior Research Fellow emeritus. He holds degrees in Philosophy and Polish language, a PhD and a Habilitation in sociology.

After having worked on communism and post-communism during 30 years, François Bafoil has been pursuing a reflection on the comparison between the works of Freud and those of Weber, based on an analysis of their epistemologies, their respective positions toward war, Judaism, communism and ethics. He is currently leading a seminar at Sciences po comparing Psychoanalysis and Social sciences.
